You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let x be the distance
x/60 is the time to there
x/40 is the return time
total time = x%2F60+%2B+x%2F40
Take the LCM and add
we get 5x%2F120= x%2F24
Total distance = x+x = 2x
r= d/t
r= 2x%2F%28x%2F24%29
= %282x%2Fx%29+%2A+24
r=48 average = 48 kmph
