You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A quarter is 0.25$
A dime is 0.10$
If there are 2 quarters it means that's 0.50$
To have 0.90$ we still need 0.40$ which means 4 dimes.
Therefore, there are 2 quarters and 4 dimes.
0.50$ of 0.90$ is the fraction of quarters!

Hope that helps! :)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
We always write $ before the amount. NEVER after.
2 coins are quarters
2*$.25=$.50
$.90-$.50=$.40
$.40/$.10=4
There are four dimes
What fractions of the coins are quarters?
2/6=1/3 of the coins are quarters.
Answer:1/3
