Let x = volume of prism B and C, so the volume of prism A is x/3. Add up the 3 volumes and set it equal to 518. Then solve for x.


x/3 + x + x = 518


x/3 + 2x = 518


3(x/3 + 2x) = 3*518


x + 6x = 1554


7x = 1554


x = 1554/7


x = 222
