A. 61km/hr B.66km/hr C.101 km/hr D. 76 km/hr Answer by ankor@dixie-net.com(22740) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! A train 450 metre long passes a car running at 35 km/hr opposite of direction in which train going in 6 seconds.
calculate the speed of the train.
:
Let s = the speed of the train
Change 6 sec to hrs: 6/3600 = 1/600 hrs
Change 450m to .45km
:
Distance = time * speed (s+35) = .450
s + 35 = 600*.450
s + 35 = 270
s = 270 - 35
s = 235 km/hr
I know this isn't even close to the given answers but that's what I get.
(If you meant 16 sec, B. would be close)
