You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x= number in ten's place
y= number in units place

1 x + 1 y = 9 .............1
10y+x = 10x+y+27
9y-9x=27
x= number in ten's place
y= number in units place

1 x + 1 y = 9 .............1
Total value
-9 x + 9 y = 27 .............2
Eliminate y
multiply (1)by -9
Multiply (2) by 1
-9 x -9 y = -81
-9 x + 9 y = 27
Add the two equations
-18 x = -54
/ -18
x = 3
plug value of x in (1)
1 x + 1 y = 9
3 + y = 9
y = 9 -3
y = 6
y = 6
x= 3.00 number in ten's place
y= 6.00 number in units place
The number is 36
