: When the parking garage opened in the morning there were 100 cars in a lot A and 20 cars in lot B. after the attendant moved 20 cars from a lot A into lot B what was the ratio of the number of cars in lot A to the number of cars in lot B? This question is from textbook

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
When the attendant removed 20 cars from lot A, the number of cars remaining in lot A became
100 - 20 or 80 cars.
.
When he put those 20 cars into lot B, the number of cars in lot B then became 20 + 20 = 40 cars.
.
So after transferring the 20 cars, the ratio of the number of cars in lot A (numerator) to
the number of cars in lot B (denominator) then became 80:40 or 80%2F40 which reduces to
2:1 or 2%2F1.
.
Hope this helps you to understand the problem.
