SOLUTION: One number is 43 less than another number. If the sum of the two numbers is 105 find the two numbers

Let x represent the larger number.  Smaller number is (x-43)    

Question States*** sum is 105

 x + (x-43) = 105

   2x = 148

    x = 74 

CHECKING our answer***

74 + 31 = 105
