Question 86014: I supplied the following equation earlier today that I needed to solve for x:
S=(1440*T)/(N*pi^2*D^2*x*acos((D-x)/D))
I have worked on it some more and substituted z for most of the variables. I now have this form.
D-x-D*cos(z/x)=0
I am afraid it cannot be solved because I keep ending up with x in either cos or acos. Is there a solution? Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! What happened to S, T, and N?
You have so many variables; how can you solve for x?
