You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1/4+1/6=1/x
6/24+4/24=1/x
10/24=1/x
x=2.4

Math: one printer can print an issue in 4 hours while the other printer can print in 6 hours. how long will it take the two printers to print an issue?
----
Rate of 1st printer:: 1/4 job/hr
Rate of 2nd printer:: 1/6 job/hr
--------------------
Rate working together:: 1/x job/hr
-----
Equation:
rate + rate = together rate
1/4 + 1/6 = 1/x
--------
Multiply thru by 12x to get:
3x + 2x = 12
5x = 12
x = 12/5 = 2.4 hours (time to do the job together)
