You can put this solution on YOUR website! write the amplitude,period,phase shift and vertical shift of
y= -2 sin(4x+pi/3)-1
form of equation for sin function: y=Asin(Bx-C)+D, A=amplitude, Period=2π/B, Phase shift=C/B, Vertical shift=D
For given sin function:y= -2 sin(4x+pi/3)-1
amplitude=2
B=4
Period=2π/B=2π/4=π/2
C=-π/3
Phase shift=C/B=(-π/3)/4=-π/12 (phase shift to the left)
Vertical shift=1 unit down
The negative sign in front means the graph is reflected about the x-axis.
