You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let w = width and 2w+50 = length
Perimeter = 2W+2Length
Substitute length for 2w+50
P=2w%2B2%282w%2B50%29
Then, distribute the 2
P=2w%2B4w%2B100
Combine Like Terms
P=6w%2B100
Substitute the perimeter for 1300
1300=6w%2B100
Subtract 100 from both sides
1200=6w
Divide both sides by 6
200=w
The width is 200. The length is
2w%2B50
2%2A200%2B50
450
The length is 450 feet.
