You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I loved that movie!
.
3D = G [A package of Dweebs costs a third as much as a package of Goonies]
5D + 4G = $4.25
Substitute the known value of G from the first equation into the second.
5D +4(3D) = $4.25
5D + 12D = $4.25
17D = $4.25
Divide each side by 17
D = .25
If Dweebs are .25, then Goonies are 3x that, or .75
.
Let's make sure it's correct.
5 packages of Dweebs at .25 = 1.25 plus 4 packages of Goonies @ .75 = 3.00
1.25 + 3.00 = $4.25
Success!
