You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Let Larry = x
Larry + Curly + Moe = $2500
x+%2B+%281%2F3%29x+%2B+x-300+=+2500
Add 300 to both sides:
x%2B%281%2F3%29x%2Bx=2800
Combine like terms:
%287%2F3%29%2Ax=2800
Divide both sides by 7/3:
x=1200
Larry gets $x, Curly gets $(x/3), and Moe gets $(x-300)
Larry gets $1200, Curly gets $400, and Moe gets $900.
To check, add them all together to see if you get 2500, which you do.
