Question 857299: how do i figure out the surface area of half a cylinder Diameter:45 H:12 Found 2 solutions by rothauserc, sexybitch:Answer by rothauserc(4718) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! surface area of cylinder(SA) = 2*pi*r^2 + 2*pi*r*h
therefore half the SA of a cylinder is
SA = 1/2(2*pi*r^2 + 2*pi*r*h)
SA = 1/2(2*pi*(22.5)^2) + (2*pi*(22.5)*12)
SA = 1/2(3180.86 + 1696.46) = 2438.66
