Expand, combine Like Terms and solve
(x-2)(x+3)-(x+5)(x-7)=1
x^2 + x - 6 - (x^2 - 2x - 35) = 1
x^2 + x - 6 - x^2 + 2x + 35) = 1
3x + 29 = 1
3x = -28
x = -28/3
