Try synthetic division. You fiorst need to divide everything by 4. The expression becomes:
%282z%5E3+-+%283%2F2%29z%5E2+-+%285%2F4%29z+%2B+3%2F4%29/%28z+%2B+3%2F4%29
Then, set it up to do synthetic division:
-3%2F4 2 -3%2F2 -5%2F4 3%2F4

-3%2F2 9%2F4 -3%2F4
2 -3 1 0
The solution is 2x%5E2 - 3x + 1
