Question 856533: I have a question that has to do with numbers and notations. The questions is:
Let set C = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8} and set D = {2, 4, 6, 8}
Which notation shows the relationship between set C and set D?
Two of the answer choices are D (underlined c) C and C(underlined c) D. What is the difference?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Let set C = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8} and set D = {2, 4, 6, 8}
----
D is a proper subset of C.
The notation should be D < C without an under-line.
Cheers,
Stan H.
