Hi,
Let x and y represent the 1st and 2nd number respectively
2x - y = -1
2y + 3x = 9
0r
2x - y = -1 |multiplying this EQ thru by 2 and adding the two EQs to eliminate y
3x + 2y = 9
7x = 7
x = 1 and Using 2x+-+y+=+-1 0r y = 2x+1, y = 3
two number are: 1 , 3
CHECKING our answer***
Using 2y+%2B+3x+=+9
6 + 3 = 9
