if Sarah has an average of 87% on 5 out of 6 tests,
what is the lowest score she can earn on the 6th test in order to maintain an average of 85%
:
let x = the score of the 6th test
:
%28%285%2887%29%2Bx%29%29%2F6 = 85
multiply by 6
435 + x = 6(85)
x = 510 - 435
x = 75% on the 6th test will give an average of 85%
