You are correct! When the degree of the numerator of a rational function equals the degree of the denominator, then there will be a horzontal asymptote. To find the horizontal asymptote, divide the leading coefficient of the numerator by the leading coefficient of the denominator. In this case it is y=8%2F4=2.
