You can put this solution on YOUR website! Find the reference angle for the given number
a) 11pi/4
(11/4)pi is 2pi + (3/4)pi
(3/4)pi is 135 degrees
135 is 45 degrees above the x-axis (reference line for reference angles)
The reference angle for (11/4)pi is pi/4
-------------------------------------------------------
b) -11pi/6 (the whole fraction is negative not just 11pi)
(-11/6)pi is (1/6)pi short of one clockwise cycle of the circle.
That leaves you (1/6)pi above the x-axis
The reference angle is (1/6)pi
---------------------------------------
c) 11pi/3
(11/3)pi = 2pi + (5/3)pi
(5/3)pi is 300 degrees
300 degrees is 60 degrees below the x-axis
The reference angle is pi/3
