In this case we want the probability of selecting a prime number from a set of twenty five integers. Therefore we have
(1) P(selecting a prime number) = (Number of prime numbers)/(all possible numbers that can be selected) or
(2) P(prime) = 9/25
Answer: The probability of selecting a prime number from the integers 1 through 25 is 9/25.
Note: one is NOT a prime number.
