Since the diagonal makes a 45-degree angle with the side, the diagonal divides the rectangle into two 45-45-90 triangles, so the rectangle is a square. The dimensions will be equal and each side length is 8%2Fsqrt%282%29 = 4%2Asqrt%282%29

The diagonal of a rectangle is 8cm and the diagonal makes a 45 degree angle with a side. Find the dimensions of the rectangle.
------------------
If it makes a 45 degree angle with the side the rectangle is a square.
If the diagonal is 8 and the sides are respectively "x", by Pythagoras
you get x^2 + x^2 = 8^2
2x^2 = 64
x^2 = 32
x = 4sqrt2
