A pair of jeans costs $53 dollars. The jeans were marked down to $37.
Part A: Explain how to find the percent decrease of the price. Then round to the nearest whole percent.
Part B: A customer comes in with a coupon for 15% off a pair of jeans. They can either use the coupon on the full price or get the discount price without the coupon. Which is the better deal? Show your work for each side by side and then make sure to write your answer in a complete sentence.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A pair of jeans costs $53 dollars. The jeans were marked down to $37.
Part A: Explain how to find the percent decrease of the price. Then round to the nearest whole percent.
Quantity decrease:: 53-37 = 16 dollars
Percent decrease:: 16/53 = 0.30 = 30%

Part B: A customer comes in with a coupon for 15% off a pair of jeans.
They can either use the coupon on the full price or get the discount price without the coupon. Which is the better deal?
Get the discount price and keep the coupon to use later on another item.
