Question 854030: Hi there!
I was wondering if you could help me by factoring trinomials using ax(squared) + bx+ c formula.
We recently learned how to factor them using x(squared) + bx+ c. Here is a piece of my work from a problem that I worked on.
x(squared) + 7x + 10
(x+2)(x+5)
A problem that I am having trouble on is
2x(squared) + 13x +15 and we need to factor it.
If possible, could you please explain to me how to solve this problem? I bet once I understand how to complete it, it would be much easier. If there is an easier way to solve it than using guess and check or draw a graph that would be great,
Thank you. Answer by Seutip(231) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website!
is equal to That's correct.
In,
First find the factors of the third polynomial which is 15,
Its factors are:
1,3,5,15 respectively.
To arrange you should put,
You can identify the numbers, in order for it to fit. :)
Hoe that helps!
