You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1/2y + 4 ÷ 2 = 5, the value of y is 21.True or False
----------------
1/2y + 4 ÷ 2 = 5
1/2y + 2 = 5
1/2y = 3

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1/2y+4/2=5, LCM is 4y, dividing the question by 4y you get. (2+8y)/4y=5, you cross multiply, you will get. 2+8y=20y, collecting like terms, you will get. 2=20y-8y, 2=12y, y=1/6. It is false
