Question 85275: factor by grouping
x^3-3x^2+4x-12

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

factor by grouping
x³ - 3x² + 4x - 12
Factor x² out of the first two terms, and
factor 4 out of the last two terms:
x²(x - 3) + 4(x - 3)
Now there are only two terms and they have a
common factor or (x - 3). So we factor (x - 3)
out of each term.
(x - 3)(x² + 4)
It doesn't factor any further.
