You can put this solution on YOUR website! To sketch y = 2x + 3, plug in a few numbers for x to give you y.  Then, plot each point on a graph and connect the dots with a line. 
 So, for this graph, let's plug in -1,0,1 for x, to determine y:
 
 2(-1) + 3 = 1, so one point will be at (-1,1)
 
 2(0) + 3 = 3, so another point will be at (0,3)
 
 2(1) + 3 = 5, so a third point will be at (1,5)
