Question 851446: Determine whether a quadrilateral with vertices A (5,7) B (1, -1) C (-6,-3) and D (-2,5) s a parallelogram. Use the slope formula.
Please Note: My teacher did not give us much information on how to do this problem. I cannot find how to do it/ get the answer in our book.
Thank You in Advance, Tutor!

You can put this solution on YOUR website! SLOPE FORMULA
Two points (r,s) and (u,v) in a plane have slope .
Lines with equal slopes are parallel. Opposite sides of a parallelogram are parallel; this occurs for both pair of opposite sides of a parallelogram. This also means that opposite sides of a parallelogram have the same slope.
The instruction, "Use the slope formula", means find the slope for AB, BC, CD, and DA. Now you can answer the question.
