You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The equations are 7%2Ax+-+y+=+-1 (1)
y+=+5%2Ax+%2B+3 (2)

Substituting for y from eqn (2) into eqn (1)

7%2Ax+-+%285%2Ax+%2B+3%29+=+-1
i.e. 7%2Ax+-+5%2Ax+-+3+=+-1
i.e. 2%2Ax+=+2 or x+=+1
Therefore, y+=+5%2Ax+%2B+3+=+8

Check: (1) 7%2Ax+-y+=+7%2A1+-+8+=+-1
(2) 8+=+5%2A1+%2B+3 Correct!

Solution: x+=+1 and y+=+8

Hope this helps!
