Question 850787: The Probability of getting a defective Widget is .10 You select five widgets =
A. What is the probability that at least one widget will be defective?
The way I set it up is using the formula: p(x) = nCx * p^x * q^n-x
p= .9 q=.10 n=5 and x=0, cause P(X >= 1) = 1 - P(X = 0)
= 1 - 5C0 * .90^0 * .10^5-0 = 1 - 1 * 1 * 0.00001 = 0.00001
I don't think this is right, please help. Answer by Fombitz(32388) (Show Source):
