Question 850726: Hi,
Is there a general closed form formula for finding an expansion expression of the following "formal" finite product?
(1+x^(a1)*z)(1+x^(a2)*z).......(1+x^(an)*z)
Where, all exponent a1 through an is a random natural number.
I am looking for a nice compact formula like Cauchy product formula as seen in G. Chrystal Algebra part II, 316ff.
Thanks
Charles

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If the exponent is random then there is no formula. That is what random means!
