Using the Pythagorean Theorem
x^2 +(8in)^2 = (10in)^2
x^2 + 64in^2 = 100in^2
x^2 = 100in^2 - 64in^2
x^2 = 36in^2 (Tossing out the negative solution for unit measure)
x = 6in
You can put this solution on YOUR website! This a well known right triangle. It is a double multiple of the 3,4 5 right triangle.
so the the sides t=you have are x,8,10
x is 2*3=6
