the length of a rectangle is  6 meters more than the width+highlight_green%28x%29

   (x+6m) + x = 46m

         2x + 6m = 46m

          2x = 40m

           x = 20m, the width and the length is 26m

CHECKING our answer***

 20m + 26m =  =46m     0r   40m+ 50m = 92m
