You can
put this solution on YOUR website!
using change of base
ln(x+3)/ln(1/2) = -4
ln(x+3) = ln(1/2)* -4
ln(x+3) = 2.77529
e^(ln(x+3)) = e^2.77529
x+3 = 16
x = 13
