Question 847539: Hi, I am getting stuck on part of a question.
Here is what I have done so far; Using Pythagoras;
(AB/2)^2 + (r/2)^2 = r^2 ...then
1/4 AB + 1/4 r =r^2 ......
1/4(AB+r)=r^2
This is where I get stuck. Apparently the answer I am supposed to get is
... AB=r√3.
I have no idea how to get there. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(AB/2)^2 + (r/2)^2 = r^2 ...then
1/4 AB + 1/4 r =r^2 ********** --> 1/4 A^2B^2 + 1/4 r^2 =r^2
