You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The leading term is the first term (when the terms are sorted properly). The leading term is 4p^5.

The degree is the exponent of the leading term (basically the largest exponent of the polynomial. This only works if there is one variable). The degree is 5 since the exponent for the leading term is 5.

There are 4 terms and they are: 4p^5, -p^3, p^2, 11

Basically each term is separated by a + sign

Find the degree and number of terms of each polynomial
4p^5-p^3+p^2+11
-----------------------
The degree is the largest exponent, 5
--------------
The terms are separated by + and minus signs. Count them.
