LET THE REQUIRED NUMBER BE X
6 TIMES THE NUMBER=6X
TEN PLUS TO IT =6X+10
THIS=5 LESS THAN THE NUMBER=X-5
6X+10=X-5
6X-X=-5-10
5X=-15
X=-3
