Question 846853: I really need help on this equation. Please help. "The amount of money collected for selling tickets to a class play can be represented by the equations 8x+3y=1100, where x represents the number of adult tickets sold for $8 each and y represents the number of student tickets sold for $3 dollars each. If the cost of an adult ticket was changed from $8 to $4, what effect would it have on the graph of the equation?"

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
What effect on the GRAPH?

Starting with 8x+3y=1100
Change to 4x+3y=1100

The slope is cut in half, and the x-axis intercept changes; although the y-intercept does not. The x-intercept will increase.
