You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If you required to express in simplest factor form, you can first factor out (a - 5) from the expression, giving you

(a - 5)(2a + 4)

If you are required to expand the factors and express in polynomial form, you would then use the FOIL method on (a - 5)(2a + 4):

(a x 2a) + (4 x a) + (-5 x 2a) + (-5 x 4) =

2a^2 + 4a - 10a - 20

Combining like terms gives us:

2a^2 - 6a - 20
