The y-intercept is the point where the line crosses the y-axis.
The slope is the change in y divided by the change in x.
So choose two points and use the x and y coordinates to find the slope.

Suppose you have a linear equation:

The y-intercept is where +x+=+0+
so, making +x+=+0+,
+y+=+5%2A0+-+11+
+y+=+-11+
The y-intercept is at ( 0. -11 )
