Question 846512: A friend of mine has just been diognosed with prostrate cancer. At his age he has a 93% chance of survival or 7% of dying.
He likes playing poker and would understand odds. My question is:
In poker terms or hands against cards probability etc what are his odds. Not sure that makes sense but I am trying to make him see in poker terms what are his chances of survival other than as a %. Any helps would be great.
Thanks

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Hi,
P(survival) = 93/100
Odds, are given as: (Chances for) : (Chances against)
Odds (survival) are 93 to 7 or 93:7
