Y=MX+C WHERE M = SLOPE ........AND.......C=Y INTERCEPT OR SIMPLY CALLED INTERCEPT.
2X+3Y=12
3Y=-2X+12
Y=-2X/3+12/3=(-2/3)X+4
HENCE SLOPE =-2/3
PUT VALUES FOR X AND FIND Y AS FOLLOWS
X=....................0...................1.........................2
Y=-2X/3 + 4........=-2*0/3 +4 =4........=-2*1+4=2................=-2*2+4=0
