That's what I would guess- find +x+
Multiply both sides by +12+
+12%2A%28+3%2F4+%29+=+12%2A%28+x%2F12+%29+
+3%2A3+=+x+
+x+=+9+

Divide top and bottom by +3+
+%28%289%2F3%29%29+%2F+%28%28+12%2F3%29%29+=+3%2F4+
