You can put this solution on YOUR website! let x be the number of quarters then no of nickles = x+7
total money = 12.65
0.25x + 0.05(x+7) = 12.65
0.30x +0.35 = 12.65
0.30x = 12.30
x = 12.30/0.30
x = 1230/30
x = 41
therefore there are 41 quarters and 48 nickles in the purse.
