Question 840619: Dear Sir/Madam;
A pleasant day! Please help me with this problem involving Division Algorithm. Here is the problem:
(z^3-3z^2+8z-10) / (z + 2i)
Thank you very much for your help!

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Hello.
You can either use synthetic division, or polynomial long division to divide these two terms. For simplicity, we will use synthetic division. I'm assuming here that you know how to use synthetic division, so, when you synthetically divide, you are left with:
-2i|1 -3 - 2i + 6i + 4 -8i + 2
I apologize, but the spacing was not coming out correctly when trying to type out the horizontal and vertical lines for synthetic division.
Now that we have synthetically divided, we need to turn our result back into the form of a polynomial, by replacing all of the x's we omitted when we synthetically divided:
I hope this made sense, but, unfortunately, this site does not allow me to upload a picture of the step-by-step process of sythetic division.
