Question 840570: What grade do I need to get on my last test, which is worth 30% of the total grade of the class, if my current test scores are 84, 85, 95, 96, 97...and I need at least a 70% to pass the class.
As far as I can figure out, I currently have a 63.98% with my posted grades worth a total of 70% overall for the class.
So, how many points do I need for the last test to bring my average up from 63.98% to 70%?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! .7*(84, 85, 95, 96, 97)/5=.7*457/5=319/5=63.98
63.98+.3x=70
x = 20.0667
you need at least 20.0667 on the final to pass.
Your average for the first five tests is 91%
It seems unlikely that you couldn't get at last 21 on the final.
To maintain your 91% average you need 90.0667
