You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x = 4y
2(y + 6) = x + 4

Substitute x = 4y into the second equation.

2(y + 6) = 4y + 4
2y + 12 = 4y + 4
8 = 2y
y = 4

The numbers are x = 16 and y = 4.
