the measure of one angle is three times the measure of it's compliment. find the measure of each angle.
------
complement: 90-x
angle: x
------
Equation:
x = 3*(90-x)
x = 270 - 3x
4x = 270
x = 67.5 degrees
complement = 90-67.5 = 22.5 degrees

Hi,
the measure of one angle is three times the measure of it's complementhighlight_green%28x%29 .
find the measure of each angle.
Two Angles are Complementary if they add up to 90 degrees
x + 3x = 90°
4x = 90°
x = 22.5° , smaller angle. Larger angle is 67.5°
