Ratio = 1 : 3
Ratio = x : 3x
x * 3x = 192
3x^2 = 192
x^2 = 192/3
x^2 = 64
x = +/- 8
Cannot use a negative value
so, x = 8 and 3x = 24
Length and width = 8 yds x 24 yds
or width and length = 8 yds x 24 yds.
